The Chicago Soldiers were an American Basketball Association (ABA) team based in Chicago. The team played three games in the fall of 2004 before folding that December finishing with a record of 1-2.

Expansion

League Co-Founder Joe Newman announced on August 27, 2004 that Chicago would join the ABA for the 2004-2005 season. Chi-Town Sports Management Group headed by Anthony Owens was awarded the franchise, which named Michael Ullrich the team's general manager. The team announced that Bob Donewald, Jr. was signed as the team's head coach on September 24. Donewald came to the Soldiers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he was an assistant coach during the 2003-2004 season. On September 29, the team announced Moraine Valley Community College as their home venue.
