Chiaki Kon

Chiaki Kon (今千秋, Kon Chiaki, born September 29) is one of the few women to succeed as a Japanese anime director. She was born in Chiba, Japan. She has directed the anime adaptations of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, both Junjō Romantica series and the first season of Hanasakeru Seishōnen. She has also directed episodes of various notable series, including Nodame Cantabile, Bleach, Twelve Kingdoms and Hetalia. She also worked the storyboard and dramatization for the anime Midori Days and did the opening animation for Shōnen Onmyōji.
