Chemi Shalev

Chemi Shalev (born 1953) is an Israeli journalist.
He was born in the US in 1953. He worked in legal publishing before becoming a journalist. Chemi Shalev is a US foreign correspondent for the English-language edition of Haaretz newspaper. In 2007-2011, Shalev was deputy editor and diplomatic commentator for the Israel Hayom newspaper. He has also written for Jerusalem Post, Davar and Ma'ariv.
Shalev was the Jerusalem correspondent for the New York-based Jewish weekly, The Forward. [1] In 2007, he returned from a four-year stay in Australia, where he was associate editor of the Australian Jewish News.
