Chelmsford Museums consists of Chelmsford Museum, the Essex Regimental Museum and the industrial and science collections at Sandford Mill.

Chelmsford Museum

Chelmsford Museum is a local history museum telling the story of Chelmsford from pre-Roman times to the 1900s. However during 2008 and 2009 work will begin on Oaklands House, the home of the museum, to improve the story of Chelmsford from 1900 onwards, including displays on the industrial history of Chelmsford.[1]

Locations

Chelmsford Museum and the Essex Regiment Museum are located in Oaklands Park, on Moulsham Street in Chelmsford, Essex. Sandford Mill is located off Chelmer Village Way, on Sandford Mill Road.
