Chaunus atacamensis, sometimes called the Vallenar toad and Atacama toad, is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family that is endemic to Chile. Its natural habitats are rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, freshwater springs, temperate desert (including the Atacama Desert), and ponds. A specific example of an ecoregion of occurrence is the Chilean matorral.
