Chaunté Wayans (born 1982) is an American actress, comedian, writer and editor.

Life and career

Wayans is a member of the Wayans Family, whose more notable members are Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, Kim Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans, and her brother Damien Dante Wayans. She is the daughter of Elvira Wayans. She is the cousin of Damon Wayans Jr. and Michael Wayans.[1]

Wayans first entered the film industry as a production assistant, working on Americanizing Shelley, and on some of her uncles' productions including Scary Movie 2 and My Wife and Kids. She later appeared as herself in the TLC series Trading Spaces. She made her feature film debut in 2009, alongside several extended family members in the movie Dance Flick, in the role of Free Gas Pedestrian.

On April 1, 2012 Chaunte performed a comedy set at the Hot 97 April Fools' Day Comedy Show at Madison Square Garden. The event was hosted by her uncles Marlon & Shawn Wayans.

On July 9, 2013 for the return of Nick Cannon's Wild 'n Out which premiered on MTV2. Chaunté Wayans has become a new cast member. Chaunte has admitted to dating women.
