Chastity is a 1969 drama romance film starring American singer-actress Cher. Chastity is a 1969 film directed by Alessio de Paola and starring Cher in her first film role as a solo.[2] It was written and produced by Cher's husband Sonny Bono as a star vehicle for her. It flopped badly and deterred Cher from acting in films for more than a decade.

Synopsis

Cher has the title role of a young woman who is bipolar and drifts from one relationship to another, meeting along the way a young man and a lesbian. Another problem is she was abused as a child, leading a few to wonder if she will find happiness with one person. Sonny and Cher's child Chaz Bono was conceived during the making of the film, and was named after it.[1]

Cher also recorded a soundtrack to the film, which was also a commercial failure.
