Charlton Park, Wiltshire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Charlton Park is an estate in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England. It has been owned by the Earls of Suffolk since the Reformation. It was formerly the land on which Malmesbury Abbey was built. The house was finished in 1607, having been built for Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk, and his wife.[1] It is now the home of the current Earl and Countess, Michael Howard, 21st Earl of Suffolk, and his wife, Linda Howard, Countess of Suffolk.[2]
It is now also run as a business, hosting corporate events and the Womad Charlton Park festival.[3]
