Charles Wace

Charles Wace is the Chairman of Twofour Group, a leading UK independent production company which he founded in 1988.[1]

Wace is a board member of Creative England,[2] and chaired the UK independent trade body Pact (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television) for two years ,.[3] A long-standing member of Pact he has also chaired its Nations and Regions Policy Group and is a member of the Pact Patrons Group.

In 2012 the University of Plymouth awarded Wace a honoury doctorate in Business.

In 2010 Wace was awarded the Devon & Cornwall Royal Television Society's Lifetime Achievement Award for services to television. In the same year Twofour was awarded the "Best Independent Production Company" by Broadcast Magazine.

Wace was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for Technology & Communication South Region in 2007.

Wace started his career in newspapers before moving to BBC Radio and Television where he worked as a reporter and producer.

Twofour merged with Boom Pictures in autumn 2013. Wace is a Non-Executive Director for Boom Pictures.

His brother is British born financier, Ian Wace co-founder of a London-based hedge fund.
