Charles Pyngrope
Charles Pyngrope is an Indian politician from the state of Meghalaya. He was the Speaker of the [[Meghalaya Legislative Assembly] from 2007-2013].[1] Charles Pyngrope is impassioned by a vision to uplift humankind…starting with his people in Meghalaya. From his public school days in the hill stations of North-East India to his present incarnation as a politician, and multipreneur, he has kept establishing plinths upon which to erect a higher, grander vision.
In an age where many people are experiencing perilous, gyrating transformations of fortune, Charles Pyngrope is on the path of creating a global commonwealth of ideas and actions that can transport humankind from hope to fulfillment.
Aware that human events are joined together in a higher dimension of meaning, he is continually thinking, learning, communicating, and bonding with his people.
In an effort to transform and transcend obsolete systems set in concrete, Charles Pyngrope is always on the lookout to distinguish between short-term fads and long-term shifts within “the ruthless centrifuge of change” that has become the prime phenomenon of life today.
He has travelled extensively within India, and abroad, and thereby acquired a sensitivity to possibilities that can transport humankind from wishful thinking to willful doing, harm to harmony, rupture to rapture.
Whilst technological ubiquity and electronic flood are resulting in significant shifts in attitudes and behaviours, Charles is acutely aware that there is a master unsolved problem of biology — how the hundred billion nerve cells of the human brain work together to create consciousness. All too often, humans are trapped in a cognitive prison. And thus, he is impelled to help people stay involved with one another, in a quest to bridge differences, eradicate injustice, and inspire goodwill in and across communities. Consciences and consciousnesses must merge to create winning outcomes for all people.
Charles’ political acumen is complemented by a fervent desire and dedication to realise his vision for the children of the third millennium: to create and run facilities for an exemplary education in the belief that learning leads to liberation. This contemplation and concentration on the core reality of The Learning Era is driven by the spirit of free play, which fosters curiosity, imagination, and original thinking.
Crucially aware that we have created societies of cut-and-paste systems, in which schools might teach children how to pass exams but not generally how to think, learn, and create, Charles feels impelled and compelled by an inescapable reality: the ability to continually learn rapidly and extensively, so that we are enabled to unwrap our inherent and infinite greatness.
His political expertise has shaped and been shaped by his desire to bestow lasting vitality within societies. His academic passions are now being expressed in the design and development of Windermere International School (WINS), where the campus community will inspire learning leadership, thought-provoking laughter-inducing delight in classrooms, and ensure a power-shift to the strong helping the weak, so that advances are made at all levels from stress to strength to success. These values are acts of servanthood, which Charles Pyngrope knows will have a resounding impact that will live longer than words alone.
