Charles Philip Bassett is a former Canadian diplomat. He was High Commissioner to Zimbabwe between 1989 and 1993. He was then appointed concurrently as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Angola and Mozambique and as High Commissioner to Botswana in 1990. He was subsequently the Canadian Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank.
