Charles Isherwood is a theater critic currently employed by the New York Times.
Education
Isherwood obtained his degree from Stanford University.
Career
From 1998 to 2004, he was Chief Theater Critic of Variety Staff. There, he was responsible for reviewing theatre in New York and all over the US along with supervising the magazine's theatre section. Isherwood replaced former critic Greg Evans.
Isherwood began working for Variety in 1993. Prior, he served as senior editor for both the daily and weekly versions of the publication. Before working for Variety, he wrote for Back Stage West in Los Angeles. [1][2]
