Charalampos "Charis" Mavrias (Greek: Χαράλαμπος (Χάρης) Μαυρίας; born 21 February 1994) is a Greek footballer currently playing for Premier League side Sunderland and the Greek national team as a Winger.

Club career

Panathinaikos

Mavrias scored his first European goal on July 31, 2012, against Motherwell F.C. in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League, one minute after coming onto the pitch as a substitute.[1]

Sunderland

On 22 August 2013, Mavrias joined English Premier League side Sunderland on a three-year contract, for an undisclosed fee,[2] although he was left out of the squad to play Southampton due to lack of match fitness. He made his debut against Milton Keynes Dons in the Football League Cup, coming on as a second half substitute, in a 4–2 victory.[3] He scored his first goal on 25 January 2014, in the fourth round of the FA Cup, in a 1-0 win against Kidderminster Harriers.
