Chapssaltteok (찹쌀떡) is a Korean dessert that consists of rice cakes filled with sweet bean paste. The cakes themselves are made from either pounded rice (메떡, metteok), pounded glutinous rice (찰떡, chaltteok), or glutinous rice left whole, without pounding (약식, yaksik) . It is a variant of tteok and is similar to Japanese mochi.
