Chaiwala

Chaiwalas are mainly people who prepare and sell Indian tea on streets or small roadside shops.[1] In Mumbai (Bombay), chaiwalas are commonly seen almost every kilometer. A lot of chaiwala tend to come in from different parts of India and run small businesses in major cities; In Mumbai the chaiwalas may also be seen on bicycles especially during night hours. Chaiwalas usually serve tea in a small glasses or unglazed clay teacups but in recent years they have started to serve tea in plastic cups. Traditionally chai was made in copper vessels; however that appears to be changing in some places. The Indian politician and BJP Prime Ministerial canditate for 2014 LokSabha Elections Narendra Modi is a former chaiwala.[2][3][4]
