Chae Ji-Hoon (Hangul: 채지훈; Hanja: 蔡智薰; born 5 March 1974) is a retired South Korean short track speed skater

Skating career

Chae won a gold medals in the 500 m and a silver medal in 1000 m at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. He is the 1995 Overall World Champion. He then won a silver medal in 5000 m relay at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.

Post career

In 2008, Chae earned his Ph.D. degree in sports psychology at Yonsei University. In 2006-2007, Chae was US National Short Track Team Head Coach. He is currently the head coach of the Potomac Speed Skating Club, based in Maryland. He is a US Speedskating Level 3 coach and also serves on the Technical Committee of the ISU (International Skating Union.)
