Chad George (born April 30, 1982) is an American mixed martial artist, primarily known for his participation in the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) between 2009 and 2010.
Career
In his WEC debut, George defeated John Hosman at WEC 45 on December 19, 2009, with a unanimous decision from the judging panel. But then lost to Scott Jorgensen by submission at WEC 47, on March 6, 2010.[1] He next faced Antonio Banuelos at WEC 51 on September 30, 2010, losing the fight by a unanimous decision.[2] George was released from his contract with Zuffa, LLC after the UFC/WEC merger in December 2010. Also in 2010, Chad won his first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) NOGI World Championship as a Blue belt. Then In 2012 he captured the Purple belt NOGI world title. He currently holds the rank of Brown Belt.

George would later return to competitive fighting with a submission win over Bobby Sanchez at BAMMA USA: Badbeat 2 on June 11, 2011. In December 2011, George traveled to New Zealand to compete against native champion, Kaiwhare Kara France, at The Cage 2; George won with a first round KO.

An 85-minute feature film documentary by BAVAYOU FILMS was produced following 8 months in the life of Chad George. Later, it was released by FILMBUFF & Cinetic Media, made available world wide via: Netflix, Video On Demand, iTunes and Amazon video.
