Chęciny [xɛnˈt͡ɕinɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gubin, within Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Gubin, 27 km (17 mi) south-west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 44 km (27 mi) west of Zielona Góra.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
