Cerete is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 80 km northeast of Milan and about 35 km northeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,521 and an area of 13.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Cerete contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cerete Alto, Cerete Basso, and Novezio.
Cerete borders the following municipalities: Bossico, Gandino, Rovetta, Songavazzo, Sovere.
