Central Savanna Province

The Central Savanna Province within Cundinamarca Department.

Central Savanna (Spanish: Sabana Centro) is one of the fifteen provinces of Cundinamarca, located in the central area of the department, it has 11 municipalities. The Province Capital is the city of Zipaquirá. The municipalities are: Cajicá, Cogua, Cota, Chía, Gachancipá, Nemocón, Sopó, Tabio, Tenjo and Tocancipá.

Geography

North: Ubate Province; West: Rionegro and Western Sabana; South: Bogotá District Capital; East: Guavio Province; Northeast: Almeidas Province;

Rivers

Central Sabana is crossed by the Bogota River and Cold River (Rio Frío).

Demographics

The most populous urban centers are Chía and Soacha.
