The $18.5 million Cedar Grove Weir is part of the Logan River system that also includes the Wyaralong Dam on Teviot Brook and the $39.5 million Bromelton Offstream Storage facility.

Overview

The weir is located 14 km north west of Beaudesert. The project was completed in December 2007 and can provide 11 megalitres of water a day. It is now managed by Queensland Water Infrastructure, a body setup to administer major water infrastructure projects in the region.[1]

In conjunction with the South Maclean Weir and water treatment plants, this dam will act as a pumping pool for captured releases from Wyaralong Dam located upstream.[2] This will provide immediate supplies to the Beaudesert district. The weir will also connect to the regional South East Queensland Water Grid.

The weir overflowed for the first time on the 4 January 2008.[3]
