Cave Spring, Missouri

Cave Spring is an unincorporated community in Cass Township, Greene County, Missouri, United States. The community is centered around the intersection of N State Highway AC and W Farm Road 52, 1.3 miles east of Missouri Route 123. The town was named for a large spring flowing out of a cave on nearby Asher Creek. A post office was established in the town around 1867 or 1868, but it is now defunct. At one point, Cave Spring was one of the more substantial towns in Greene County; in 1883 there were five stores, a blacksmith, a Presbyterian church, and a school. A number of houses remain in the community as of 2010.
