Catwalk is an alternative term for a fashion runway.
The same term (sometimes spelt cat walk) is also used as the generic name for any raised narrow platform on which people walk, specifically for those allowing workers access to parts of a structure otherwise difficult to reach or to walk on top of a railroad car such as boxcars or covered hopper cars.[1][2]
