Cathal Cregg is a footballer from Co Roscommon. He has played with Roscommon at all levels an helped them to win the 2010 Connacht Senior Football Championship he also received an All Star Nomination. He plays his club football with the Western Gaels club.

A noted fine judge of footballer, Conor McSharry considers Cathal to be a dark horse for a 2012 All Star and possibly even footballer of the year. His dazzling pace and trickery in the first half of Roscommon's opening Connacht Championship tie vs Galway has led him to believe that with Cregg's growing influence, a run through to an All Ireland final is almost inevitable.

Cathal has a younger brother Finbar who is also part of the Roscommon GAA scene. He played with the Roscommon U-21 that reached the All Ireland final in 2012.
