Castro Daire (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkaʃtɾu ˈðajɾ(ɨ)]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 379.1 km² and a total population of 16,846 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of twenty two parishes and is located in Viseu District.

The present mayor is Fernando Carneiro, elected by the Socialist Party.

The municipal holiday is June 29 (St Peter's Day).
