Castlemaine is a railway station in Castlemaine on the Bendigo line in Victoria, Australia. The station is located on Kennedy Street.

Elphinstone and Taradale stations are currently not in use and are located between Castlemaine and Malmsbury stations. Chewton railway station has been removed and was also located between Castlemaine and Malmsbury stations.

Harcourt and Ravenswood stations are currently not in use and are located between Castlemaine and Kangaroo Flat stations.

Platforms and services

In the morning, trains to Melbourne depart from Platform 1, while Bendigo trains depart from Platform 2, this reverses in the afternoon.

Platforms 1 and 2:

  • Bendigo line—V/Line services to Southern Cross
  • Bendigo line—V/Line services to Bendigo (1 service per day extends to Echuca, 2 services per day extend to Swan Hill)

Platform 3: The third track/platform is used by the Victorian Goldfields Railway, a tourist operation between Castlemaine and Maldon.
