Castenaso is a town and comune in the province of Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is located around 12 kilometres (7 miles) away from Bologna, the capital of Emilia Romagna.

The population of Castenaso is 13,607 people after the 2001 Italian census. In the previous census, the population was 13,436 people, thus increasing in population by 1.27%. A.S.D. Castenaso Villanova

Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Castenaso Villanova[2] is an Italian association football club, based in this city.

In the season 2011-12 the team was promoted for the first time, from Eccellenza Emilia-romagna/B to Serie D.

Its colors are red and blue.
