Carpet One Floor & Home is a home design retailers' cooperative in the carpet, rug, and other home design products (i.e.: vinyl, tile, hardwood, laminate, bamboo, cork, countertops, furniture, and window treatments) in North America, New Zealand, and Australia. It was formed in 1985 and by 2007 had over 1000 stores internationally. It is the largest of all the flooring buying groups.[citation needed] Carpet One Floor & Home and its parent, CCA Global Partners, are based in Manchester, New Hampshire and St. Louis, Missouri.

In 2007, the organization focused on streamlining their retail locations, making them more uniform thus creating a "destination" type feel. Each Carpet One is independently owned and operated.

In the 2000s, most of Carpet One's revenue still came from carpet sales. However tile and other hard surfaces steadily increased and reached 30% of total revenue in 2007. This was partly due to market trends.[citation needed]

The Carpet One organization was the first business formed by CCA Global Partners, a cooperative incubator founded in 1984. Under the banner of CCA Global, the Carpet One model was used by its founders to found a total of eight affiliated cooperatives for the floor covering industry, mortgage banks (Lenders One), bicycle shops (The Biking Solution, later The Bike Cooperative) and lighting retailers (Lighting One).

Carpet One founders Howard Brodsky and the late Alan Greenberg were inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame of the US National Cooperative Business Association in 2009.[1][2]
