Carpeneto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km southeast of Turin and about 25 km south of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 923 and an area of 13.6 km².[1]
Carpeneto borders the following municipalities: Montaldo Bormida, Predosa, Rocca Grimalda, Sezzadio, and Trisobbio.
