Carmen Sánchez

Carmen Sánchez (April 21, 1899 – November 20, 1985) was a Spanish singer, dancer, and actress.

Professional career

Miss Sánchez was born in Madrid, Spain. She was child became a famous dancer of opera and singer of Spanish folklore at a very young age, in the ages twenty, She finished works of copla or chotis and was featured in films between 1927 and 1929.A pioneer of silent film star wheel. As his first work after the Civil War becoming a famous Spanish actress character.

In the 1920s, she began triumph of theatre in Spain and she became a famous actress of drama. The famous Spanish actress formed company in the 1930s and achieved much success in both theaters of Madrid as Lara, Princess Beatrice, Princess Elizabeth, Cervantes, Cómico ... as in all Spain.

During the first half of the twentieth century primarily works in theater, working alongside famous Spanish companies to actors like Rafael Bardem, Manuel moon, Carmen Ruiz Moragas, Carola Fernán Gomez ... The civil war in Spain suspended her work. In the 1940s back to the theatre begins again with the national company of Spanish dramatic art with which it works throughout the country and the cinema successfully.

Personal life

She was a niece of José María Alvira which she beginning in 1910s in Opera. In 1920s she was a lover of Duke of Berwick the ambassador of London, a famous rich man. She had three children: Carmen Sánchez jr, Pedro and Emilio. Her sister was a grandmother of the Videgain´s today. In 1969 she retired from cinema and died in 1985. Carmen Sánchez died in 1985 was interred in the Cementerio de la Almudena in Madrid.
