The Carlstadt Public Schools is a community public school district that serves students in pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade from the Borough of Carlstadt in Bergen County, New Jersey.

For grades 9 to 12, public school students attend Henry P. Becton Regional High School in East Rutherford, which serves high school students from both Carlstadt and East Rutherford. The school is part of the Carlstadt-East Rutherford Regional School District.[3]

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new elementary / middle school was held on June 4, 2005 at the site of the new school, adjacent to the Lindbergh School.[4]

As of the 2010-11 school year, the district's lone school had an enrollment of 615 students and 41.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.68:1.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[5]
