Carlos Germán Belli

Carlos Germán Belli de La Torre (born September 15 1927 in Lima) is a Peruvian poet of Italian parentage. He won the Premio Iberoamericano de Poesía Pablo Neruda in 2006 which was awarded by the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de Chile. Belli has been nominated for the Nobel Prize in 2007.[1]
