The yacht Carinthia VII was built in the Lurssen yard in 2002 and refurbished in the same yard 3 years later. It was registered in Bremen, Germany and sails under the flag of Austria with the home port of Venice, Italy. The 12th largest such vessel in the world, it is owned by Heidi Horten widow of Helmut Horten, a German entrepreneur.

Design

Manufactured in steel, it has length of 318.25 ft (97.20 m), beam of 52.50 ft (16.00 m) and draft of 15.75 ft (4.80 m).

Engine

The main engines are 4 x MTU 1163 Diesels, which generate 10.064 mHP each and enable Carinthia VII to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots.

Living area

The living area consists of a VIP owner stateroom, including living room, bedroom and bathroom and large verandah, plus 5 large double staterooms, with own bathroom, luxury interior and LCD TV.
