Cardioglossa oreas is a species of frog in the Arthroleptidae family.
Information
It is endemic to Cameroon. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss. The common English name for the Cardioglossa oreas is the Mount Okou long-fingered frog.[1] The distribution of this species is severely fragmented which also influences its population. The population in the forest habitat of the Cameroonian mountains is also declining. They are native to the areas of Mount Manenguba, and on the Bamenda Highlands at the Bamboutos Mountains, the Bafut-Ngemba Forest Reserve, and Mount Oku.[2]
