Carbon, California

Carbon is a former settlement in Mendocino County, California.[1] It was located on the Middle Fork of the Eel River 6 miles (9.7 km) from Covelo.[1]

In the 1890s, Carbon, as its name suggests, was founded as a coal mining camp.[1]
