Camillia Sanes is an American actress and film producer. In television, she has played recurring roles on shows such as The Shield and Saving Grace.
Career
Sanes worked at theatres such as The Roundabout Theatre with Bill Irwin, originating the role of Celestina in “Cloud Tectonics” at Playwright’s Horizon and became a member of the Blue Light Theatre Co. Additionally, she worked the regional circuit in such theatres as La Jolla Playhouse, South Coast Repertory, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville.[1] She is the annual guest instructor at the Scuola di Teatro in Bologna, Italy.[2]
Sanes appeared in the recurring role of Aurora Aceveda in the FX drama The Shield. Other television roles include Saving Grace, Law & Order, and Cold Case. She appeared in War of the Worlds and Seabiscuit.
Sanes' short film The Winged Man (2008)[3] was featured in the 2008 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner and recently became an official selection of the 2008 Rhode Island International Film Festival. She is currently producing Celestina, a film written by screenwriter José Rivera, with executive producer Walter Salles and producer Julio Caro.
