Calum MacPherson

Calum MacPherson (born Cambridge England 1964) is a British character actor. His earliest on-stage experiences were gained in various Cambridge bands playing drums and gigging weekly on the busy Pub and College circuit... He trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London in the early 80's, but upon graduating decided to return to music, spending the next few years touring in the UK and Europe with various bands.... His return to acting came after an approach to Robin Midgely, then director of Cambridge Theatre Co with roles in The Taming Of The Shrew, Volpone and Petula Clarke's ill fated musical 'Someone Like You.' Small parts on TV soon followed as well as many commercials in the UK and Worldwide. In 1995 he was cast in a leading role in Backup, a BBC police drama serial that enjoyed critical acclaim and ran for 2 seasons. He has appeared in countless commercials including playing the hapless Audrey in the long running Bounty/Plenty kitchen roll ads... Other TV credits include:

More recently he has appeared as Evoric the Landlord of the Sun Inn in MERLIN and as both Gob and Lumbering Geoff in THE BLEAK OLD SHOP OF STUFF both for the BBC.
