Calgary—Nose Hill is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented by Diane Ablonczy in the Canadian House of Commons since 1997.

Geography

It consists of the part of the City of Calgary described as follows: north and west of a line drawn (from north to south) from the northern limit of the city along: Centre Street North, the proposed northern extension of Harvest Hills Boulevard North, Beddington Trail NW, Berkshire Boulevard NW, 14 Street NW, John Laurie Boulevard NW, Shaganappi Trail NW, Crowchild Trail NW (Highway No. 1A) to the western limit of the said city.

History

This riding was created in 1996 from Calgary North and Wild Rose ridings.

In 2003, parts of this electoral district were transferred to Calgary Centre-North riding.

Current Member of Parliament

Its Member of Parliament is Diane Ablonczy, a former lawyer and teacher. She was first elected in 1993. She is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. She is the Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs) and was previously the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance.
