Cable, Ohio

Cable is an unincorporated community in central Wayne Township, Champaign County, Ohio, United States. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43009.[1]

Cable was laid out in 1853. The town was named for its founder, P. S. Cable. In 1881, Cable contained two churches, two schoolhouses, passenger train depot, telegraph office, freight depot, express office, two dry goods stores, and one restaurant.[2]
