CKNT

CKNT is a new radio station which will broadcast a news/talk radio format on the frequency of 960 kHz/AM in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

History

On November 22, 2011, Elliot Kerr, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated received an approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to operate a new English language news/talk AM radio station at Mississauga. [1] The new station would provide local news and information, weather, sports, traffic, including coverage of city council, local business issues, and community related political and social events.

A launch date has yet to be announced.

The AM 960 frequency was originally used by a radio station out of Cambridge, Ontario, known today as CJDV-FM.
