CJMK-FM, branded as 98 COOL FM, is a Canadian radio station. The station broadcasts an adult contemporary format on 98.3 FM in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The station is part of the Saskatoon Media Group, and has studios with sister stations CKBL-FM and CJWW. They are at 366 3rd Avenue South, downtown on the river.

History

The station received approval in 2000 [1][2] and CJMK was launched in 2001 by Hildebrand Communications, originally branded as "Magic 98.3".

During system testing before the official launch, they played 50,000 songs in a row with no commercials or DJ breaks. After going off air for a short time, they did some final system testing before the launch by playing a loop of old television show theme songs.

On January 17, 2014, "Magic 98.3" changed their branding to "98 COOL FM - Music That Makes You Feel Good". The final song played on Magic was Dark Horse by Amanda Marshall, while the first song on 98 COOL was Goody Two Shoes by Adam Ant.
