History

On July 8, 2005, Jack McGaw (3077457 Nova Scotia Limited) received approval by the CRTC to operate a new english-language tourist FM radio station to serve Moncton, New Brunswick on the frequency of 101.9 MHz.[1]

On September 27, 2010, the station received CRTC approval to change frequencies from 101.9 to 90.1 MHz.[2] On February 21, 2011, CIRM-FM once again applied to change frequencies from 90.1 MHz to 96.3 MHz. [3] The CRTC denied the application to change frequencies from 90.1 to 96.3 MHz on September 2, 2011. [4] On November 22, 2012, Instant Information Services Incorporated was denied once again to change CIRM-FM's frequency from 90.1 MHz to 96.3 MHz and to increase the effective radiated power. [5]
