CFMS-FM

CFMS-FM is a new FM radio station that broadcasts as "105.9 The Region", transmitting at 105.9 MHz from Markham, Ontario, Canada. The station broadcasts adult album alternative and adult contemporary format in English, as well as multilingual ethnic programming directed to a minimum of 5 ethnic groups in a minimum of 9 languages, including Tamil, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi.

History

On September 11, 2012, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approved Bhupinder Bola's, (on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated) application to operate a new FM commercial FM radio programming undertaking in Markham, Ontario.[1]
