The C-class lifeboat used Zodiac Grand Raid Mark IV's powered by twin 40hp outboards and was formerly operated by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution of the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was replaced by the D class lifeboat (EA16) and Atlantic 21.[1]
