Byrakur is a modern village and head quarters for 16 villages located in Mulbagal taluk, Kolar District, Karnataka and 110 KM from Bangalore and just 8 KM from Andhra Pradesh (AP).
Sri Manjunatha Higher Primary School established in 1987 from nursery (L.K.G) to higher primary (7th Standard). From Past two decades school is performing and provided enormous contribution to society in the curriculum activities, sports and social activities.
Government of Karnataka identified the School achievements and aided the grants for 1st to 7th standard (Kannada Medium). .[7]
