Burke Harr (born October 13, 1971) is a Nebraska state senator from Omaha, Nebraska, United States, in the Nebraska Legislature, and the twin brother of Brian Harr.

Early life

Burke Harr graduated from Creighton Preparatory School, 1990; University of St. Thomas, 1994; and Notre Dame Law School (J.D.) in 1998.

State legislature

Senator Harr represents District 8 in Omaha, Nebraska which consists of the midtown neighborhoods of Dundee and Benson, along with the neighborhoods that surround Creighton Prep.  He was elected in 2010 and is up for reelection in 2014.  Senator Harr was elected as the Vice Chairperson of the Business and Labor Committee in 2013.  He also serves on the Agriculture and Revenue Committees.  Senator Harr is a member of The Tax Modernization Committee which has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive examination of Nebraska's tax system.
