Burdhubo (Somali: Buurdhuubo) is a town in the southern Gedo region of Somalia.
Location
Burdhubo sits on the Jubba River in the Jubba Valley, between the cities of Bardera and Luuq. Garbahaarreey, the Gedo region's capital, is situated just 60 km (37 mi) away from Burdhubo.
Economy
The town's inhabitants make their living farming along the banks of the river, and the rest tend to animals such as camels, cattle, goats and sheep. Since the early 1990s, Burdhubo has seen new business activities and population growth, as is the case in many Somali cities.
Districts
Buurdhuubo District is the seventh district of Gedo's seven districts.
