Burdale railway station was on the Malton & Driffield Railway in North Yorkshire, England. It was situated just south of the 1,747-yard (1,597 m) Burdale Tunnel. It opened on 19 May 1853, and served both the hamlet and large quarry at Burdale, until it closed on 5 June 1950, with the rest of the line itself 8 years later in 1958.

Preservation

In October 2008, The Yorkshire Wolds Railway Restoration Project was formed by a group of enthusiasts with aim to restore at least a section (or 2) of the M&D railway line as a heritage attraction, marking it the only Heritage Railway in East Yorkshire,

Burdale railway station could also be restored as part of the restoration project and form part of the new Heritage Railway, making it one of the YWR's future aims of possible expansion within the near future.
