Bunzō Hayata

Bunzō Hayata (早田 文藏 Hayata Bunzō, December 2, 1874 January 13, 1934) was a Japanese botanist noted for his taxonomic work in Japan and Formosa (Taiwan). He was a professor at the Imperial University of Tokyo and third director of the Research Botanical Gardens. The botanist Hiroyoshi Ohashi has published a detailed and useful biography of Hayata.[1]
