Bungay High School is an academy school in Bungay, Suffolk.[1] The school was founded in 1565, and has been on the Queens Road site for over 50 years and now has the Sixth Form Centre on the old middle school site in Hillside Road East,Bungay and North Suffolk Skills Academy which is sited in Harrisons Lane in Halesworth (this has become a company of the school) students from other schools have an opportunity to come hear to do courses like hairdressing and many others.
This is an outstanding school which has continued to improve over the last few years. Students enjoy school very much and feel safe and very well cared for. The outstanding curriculum, coupled with excellent support, provides a wide range of opportunities in this rural setting. [2] The aim of Bungay High is to create 'Opportunity, Aspiration and Excellence for All.' [3] ‘Opportunity, Aspiration and Excellence for All’ captures the schools intention as far as inclusion at Bungay High School is concerned. The schools vision reflects links with the government and LA frameworks as detailed in the following key documents: Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and 2005 SEN Code of Practice 2001
